The teardown that asks for nothing
A higher-education marketing agency under 20 people, whose new business came mostly from referrals, sent unverifiable credentials emails to colleges, and its principal had an AI new-business mandate with no spec.
Cold outreach nobody can verify, and no safe way to use AI in new business
Each target college gets a one-page teardown of its own public admissions creative, compared with 12 peers on 15 counted elements. A rule-based drafter writes claims, a gate refuses any without link, quote and date, and a strategist approves or strikes each. The principal signs and sends by hand, with no ask.
- 22 of 22 claims that reached a PDF carry a link to the college's own page, a quoted line and a snapshot date (100%, by construction)
- of 25 claims drafted across 4 colleges, 3 never reached a page: 1 refused at the gate, 2 struck by the strategist with reasons logged
- Rule-based drafter
- Peer norm table
- Source-link gate
- Strategist claim review
- PDF generation
- Puppeteer
