The publicist's second pair of eyes
A 25-person PR agency in the Carolinas, with a tech startup client book, has only 2 people reporters know to pitch. Reporter requests close unread and new clients wait for a slot on the desk.
Publicists can't read every reporter request and byline before deadlines
It builds a beat card for each reporter from their last 10 published pieces, then a rule-based matcher checks open requests against each client's news. Gates refuse off-beat, expired, barred or unsupported pitches with a logged reason. Survivors become tagged template drafts held for the founder to rewrite. Nothing sends.
- from 840 client-news and reporter pairs, the matcher proposed 9 pitches and refused 152, every refusal with its reason logged
- in all 9 drafts every client claim carries a tag to a numbered fact-sheet line, and the software sent 0
